Happy Halloween

Our Halloween was cold and rainy, but is was worth it, here are a few things I have been working on that  I wanted to show you.

Ta-da! I have been working on this for a couple of weeks. After making that tissue-box dollhouse for my sister I thought I would make a Halloween decoration. I originally made a coffin shape room and was planning on making it Transylvania-ish but then I thought a witches cottage would be cute. The room has a furnace that lights up, a leaning shelf with potions, a broom, a picture, jack-o-lantern, candy corn and a spider web coffie table.  I love it! I think I have discovered another hobby to my growing list-miniatures!

My costume for a Halloween party was a monarch butterfly so I decided to do something with my nails which counts as "Falling for Nails Challenge" and also for N.A.I.L.

I finished this scarf today and I have to say if I did not have red hair I would love to wear it! Happy Halloween!, I hope the weather is nice wear you live!

Sweet Treats

Today I will be showing you my latest creation in the kitchen. I made red velvet cheesecake brownies on Monday and here is how it turned out

The recipe that I followed can be found on: justataste.com
This sweet treat tastes as good as it looks. The sweetness is not overpowering so you can enjoy more than you usually would with something that is rich.  I challenge you to make them, trust me, you will not be disappointed. This recipe is perfect for valentines.
                                                                      Thanks for stopping by,

Falling for nail art challenge 8

Late!! Yes this is very late and I even skipped a challenge!! I can't believe it, you probably wondered why I have not blogged for a long time! Sorry, life gets in the way. Here is my version of "sweet treats"

You remember the polish I got from Icing? This is how it turned out and I am very pleased with the result. Excuse the chips in it, I was in a rush.  Here it is definitely fall.

I promise to be back tomorrow with a scarf I made for a gift.

Happy Columbus Day

Hi everybody! How was your Monday?  Mine was surprisingly fun since Columbus discovered America (?)  I get a day off from school.  We were planning to go to COSI but they were closed so we went to the mall instead and to my surprise LUSH had just opened up! From what I have read from the many blogs I have been following they have loved it so I went in their to see what they had. I can not believe the amazing stuff they make, if you live near a LUSH store, go there!, it is worth it to pay more for homemade treats.  I also found this beauty at ICING for $2! I will be back tomorrow to show you my design for "Cloudy Skies".

Nail Art Challeng 6

Fail!! Yes I admit defeat on this manicure, it did not turn out at all what I was hoping for. My first mistake was when I realized I had painted all of my fingers orange!, I was only supposed to paint the tips of them and in a pumpkin-ish  shape. Then I thought of a Halloween jack-o lantern nail stamp, which terribly stamped on all but one finger. This is my final product.
As you can see it did not turn out the way I intended it to be. Sorry for the depressing post :)    Clara

Nail Art Challenge 5

This is late.... I was planning on posting this on Sunday because I had the manicure done but I went to sleep instead.  The theme for today's challenge is sweater weather and I knew I wanted to do something different than a sweater, so this is what I thought of..... Hot Chocolate! I know this is not the best portrayal of hot chocolate but my nail art brush has gone missing....  Anyway, here it is!
Excuse the chip on my finger)I thought of doing a cup with hot chocolate because when it is "sweater weather" around here I love to drink hot chocolate with marshmallows in it, YUM:).  I hope its not that cold wear you live,

Hi everybody, just a quick post for today because I am working on something for Halloween and this is the only time I have to start it.  Here is something I made for my sister, she wanted me to make her a room for her dolls out of a tissue box. Here is the result-

I made a trundle bed for a doll she got this week and the doll came with a dog so the two beds were perfect. I then made a dresser that has drawers that pull out and a "mirror" .  Have a great day,

Nail Art Challenge 4

Hi everybody! When I looked at today's challenge I thought of  doing a apple manicure that I have been wanting to do for a long time.  I also thought of the time when for one of my birthday's I asked if we could have apples to apples(I actually meant bobbing for apples) so when they gave me the game I was surprised that it was not a bucket full of water and apples. So now I know the difference from apples to apples and bobbing for apples:) ( I was not a happy birthday girl then) I used Ulta Snow White, Ulta Non-Stop Red, Revlon Emerald and Ulta My Two Cents. I have been wearing this for three days with only one top coat and it has not chipped!
